존 케리

존 포브스 케리(John Forbes Kerry, 문화어: 죤 케리, 1943년 12월 11일~)는 미국의 정치인이다. 1977년부터 1979년까지 미들섹스 카운티 보조 지방검사로 있다가 1983년 1월부터 1985년 1월까지 제66대 매사추세츠주의 부지사를 지냈으며, 1985년부터 2013년까지 매사추세츠주의 연방 상원의원을 지냈다.

John Forbes Kerry is an American attorney, politician, diplomat, and former naval officer who served as the 68th United States secretary of state from 2013 to 2017 in the administration of President Barack Obama. A member of the Democratic Party, he previously represented Massachusetts in the United States Senate from 1985 to 2013 and later served as the first U.S. special presidential envoy for climate from 2021 to 2024. Kerry was the Democratic nominee for president of the United States in the 2004 presidential election, losing to then-incumbent president George W. Bush.
