윌리엄 마틴 "빌리" 조엘(본명: William Martin "Billy"Joel, 1949년 5월 9일 ~ )은 미국의 록 싱어송라이터이자 피아니스트이다. 1973년 동명의 대표곡에서 따온 "피아노 맨"이라는 별명으로 불리는 조엘은 1970년대부터 솔로 아티스트로서 성공적인 경력을 쌓았다. 1971년부터 1993년까지 팝과 록 장르에 걸쳐 12개의 정규 음반을 발매했으며, 2001년에는 한정판 클래식 작곡 음반을 발매했다. 전 세계적으로 1억 6천만 장 이상의 음반 판매량을 기록한 조엘은 세계에서 가장 많은 음반을 판매한 음악가 중 한 명이며, 미국에서는 네 번째로 많은 음반을 판매한 솔로 아티스트이다. 그의 1985년 컴필레이션 앨범 《Greatest Hits – Volume I & Volume II》는 미국에서 가장 많이 팔린 앨범 중 하나이다.
