아서 에드워드 웨이트 는 은비학, 밀교, 마술에 관한 다수의 저서를 집필한 문필가. 웨이트판 타로의 제작자로서 저명. 은비학 결사 '황금의 새벽단' 등에 소속해 있었지만, 의식 마술에서는 거리를 두고 있었다.

Arthur Edward Waite was a British poet and scholarly mystic who wrote extensively on the occult and Western esotericism. He was the co-creator of the Rider–Waite Tarot. As his biographer R. A. Gilbert described him, "Waite's name has survived because he was the first to attempt a systematic study of the history of Western occultism—viewed as a spiritual tradition rather than as aspects of protoscience or as the pathology of religion."
